DME Nurse Observer Services in New Jersey and Philadelphia
J.R. Legal Nurse Consultants, LLC provides experienced registered nurse observers for defense medical examinations. Our services help attorneys obtain an objective, detailed record of their client's examination without interfering with the examining physician's evaluation. Click the button below to schedule a nurse observer for your client’s next DME.
1. Before the Examination
Our nurse observer contacts your client before the scheduled examination to introduce themselves, explain their role, and answer general questions about the examination process.
2. During the Examination
Our registered nurse objectively observes and documents the examination, including the history obtained, physical examination techniques, and relevant interactions. We maintain a detailed timeline, documenting arrival and departure times, as well as the beginning and conclusion of the medical history and physical examination. Audio or video recording may also be provided when requested and permitted.
3. After the Examination
Retaining counsel receives a detailed written report summarizing the examination, including the physician's questions, examination procedures, and relevant observations. Our reports provide an organized, objective record for counsel's review and may be compared with the examining physician’s report to identify potential discrepancies or inconsistencies. When appropriate, our nurse observers may also serve as fact witnesses regarding their firsthand observations of the examination.
